Join us as we head tour the Southeast region to visit some of the top schools in the area,
The Southeast region boasts excellent colleges ranging from small liberal arts schools to giant state universities. Between outstanding academic programs and campus clubs, students will have an easy time finding a school that checks off all the boxes. Off-campus, students will find plenty of opportunities for adventure. Interested in the great outdoors? Hike the Appalachian Mountains. Music lover? Take a weekend trip to the birthplace of Jazz. No matter where you land, you will be surrounded by endless possibilities.
Get ready for some exciting sightseeing opportunities! As we tour through the schools, there will be plenty of chances to experience what this city has to offer.
Day 1: We depart early morning heading south. Our first major stop will be in historic Alexandria, VA for lunch. You will also spend some time stretching your legs on King Street Mile and admiring the centuries-old architecture, brick-lined streets, and cobblestone alleys. If time allows, we may also make a quick stop at Arlington Cemetery. Dinner will be taken in on the way to Durham, NC.
Day 2: After breakfast, well head for our first campus tour at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill followed by North Carolina State University. On the way to Charleston (pending time), we make a stop at the Airbourne & Special Operations Museum which is a part of the Army Museum Enterprise dedicated to preserving and teaching public history of the special operations and Airbourne community. Lunch and dinner will be included on the way to Charleston.
Day 3: After breakfast, we will visit the College of Charleston which holds a central location in the city. After the visit, we take a walk down to City Market which is one of Charlesons most visited attractions. Here you can shop for jewelry, food items, souvenirs & gifts. You will also learn about the Sweetgrass baskets- one of the nations oldest and most beautiful handicrafts of African origin. Well also take a walk on the waterfront where you can see some of the gardens and historic southern mansions. From here well head out to the University of South Carolina. Upon arrival, well enjoy lunch in the dining hall or similar. Upon completion of the campus walk, well board the bus and continue to Athens, GA. In the evening we enjoy dinner and ice cream!
Day 4: Our first visit will be to the University of Georgias campus. From here well head to vibrant Atlanta for a visit at Emory University as well as the World of Coca-Cola. Here you will experience the history of the worlds largest and most famous beverage brand. Here we will view some cool artifacts, get a behind-the-scenes look at the bottling process, experience some Coca-Cola tastings various kinds and flavors and get as close as possible to the famed vault containing the top-secret recipe of Coca-Cola. We will have dinner on Peachtree Street and an evening visit to Georgia Aquarium for an evening beneath the waves before settling in for the night.
Day 5: After breakfast, well head north for Clemson University for a morning or midday campus tour and lunch, we make a stop at the NASCAR Hall of Fame before heading for Greensboro where we spend the evening bowling along with a nice group dinner.
Day 6: After breakfast, well immediately head for our visit to for our final campus walk at Duke University. After this, it will be time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride back home. We will stop for lunch and dinner along the way.
