Come join us on this early summer adventure exploring the amazing Longwood Gardens with the option of also visiting Winterthur Garden at additional cost.

 

This is the perfect getaway with the opportunity to take in two of the most well-visited gardens on the East Coast. Get immersed in floral summer beauty as we start with a guided tour at Longwood Garden.

 

Longwood Gardens is a gorgeous botanical garden made up of 1077 acres of woodland, meadows, and manicured gardens with dazzling displays of horticultural art. You will tour the garden along with a guide learning the “Longwood Story” This tour is designed to tell the story of how one man’s vision turned Longwood into one of the greatest gardens of the world. You will also explore some seasonal highlights while learning about the garden’s heritage and horticultural distinction. The tour is approx. 60 minutes. Upon completion of the tour, guests are welcome to continue exploring the garden on their own – there is a lot to see and many pictures to take!

 

Longwood Gardens offers a variety of dining options depending on the time of the year. There is a sit-down restaurant on site as well as a more casual café and a Beer Garden. Guests can enjoy a meal, a snack, or a drink or two at their own expense.

 

For those interested – a visit to Winterthur Garden can be added at additional cost. Winterthur Garden is located approx. 20 minutes drive from Longwood.

 

Winterthur Museum & Garden is an American Estate and the home of founder Henry Francis du Pont. Henry du Pond was a prominent art collector and horticulturist. You will enjoy the museum and garden on your own. The visit to Winterthur Garden will be approximately 1-1.5 hours.
