Colleges of the Midwest

                                                                                                       Sunday August 3- Friday August 8, 2025

Did you know that visiting a college is termed “demonstrated interest” by schools and is one of the admissions criteria used to determine an applicant’s acceptance? In fact, “demonstrated interest” is one piece of the admissions puzzle that can give a student up to a 40% chance of being admitted over other applicants.

Join us as we head to the Midwest region to visit some of the top schools in the area.

The Midwest region not only has excellent universities but also incredible experiential opportunities. When students are not in the classroom, they have the opportunity to be a part of a community that is rich in tradition and kindness. So kind, in fact, that researchers from the University of Cambridge published a study that stated participants from the Midwest exhibited friendly traits more commonly than people from any other region in the country. Not only will students who attend one of these schools receive an amazing education, but they will make friends to last a lifetime!

Day 1: We head out early – we have a long but scenic drive ahead of us. Our first stop will be in Pittsburgh, PA we’ll have lunch and enjoy the thrill and the view from Duquesne Incline. The panoramic view of Downtown Pittsburgh is one of a kind. Depending on time and availability we may also get a quick tour of this historic attraction. We will arrive in Athens OH, in the evening. A stop for dinner will be made on the way.

Day 2: After breakfast, we start with a tour of Ohio University in the morning followed by a campus tour of Ohio State University in the early afternoon. We’ll pay a visit to one of Athen’s most popular attractions O’Betty’s Hot Dog Museum. You will get a chance to view the exhibitions of countless objects related to hot dogs/wieners – cars toys, games, and other memorabilia. We will also of course have some tasty hot dogs for lunch with a variety of condiments. Upon arrival in Indianapolis, we’ll have dinner and arcade games at Dave & Buster’s

Day 3: After breakfast, we head for the campus tour of Indiana University followed by Purdue University before heading toward Chicago. In the evening we’ll enjoy the sites and fun of Chicago. Deep dish pizza and amazing views from 360 Chicago observation deck. If you dare you may even go on the TILT. One of the Skydeck’s newer attractions allows you to be “tilted” for an even better view.

Day 4:  After breakfast, our first stop will be Northwestern University  for a tour. After that we’ll head for the University of Notre Dame. We will tour the campus as well as some if the historic sites that are significant to Notre Dame such as the Grotto, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, The Golden Dome, and the Hesburgh Library. We will also visit Notre Dame Stadium based on availability. Lunch in the campus dining hall will be served before heading out. Upon arrival in Lasing. MI we enjoy dinner and an evening of bowling & fun!

Day 5: We are now approaching our last few campus tours… After breakfast, we’ll head for Michigan State University followed by the University of Michigan. We’ll have lunch in the area and pay a visit to the Sindecuse Museum – associated with the University of Michigan’s School of Dentistry – We know how much you LOVE going to the dentist! This cool museum explores art in association with dentistry – the skill required to sculpt artificial teeth, veneers & retainers. The museum also explores dental art of various cultures worldwide. You may also get the pleasure of sitting in the selfie dental chair for some fun pictures before departing for Cleveland OH. This is our last night, so we’ll enjoy a tasty farewell dinner together. If time allows a little bit of free time in downtown may be possible before checking in for the night.

Day 6: After breakfast, we’ll check out Cleveland’s top attraction; The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

We may also make a drive-by at the Christmas Story House pending time. After this, you will sit back, relax, and enjoy the trip back home. We will stop for casual lunch and dinner on the way back.
