Enjoy the reenactment from the river banks as well as the many vendors and demonstration taking you back to what life was during the colonial times. Step back in time with us as we explore the “crossing” that saved the revolution! Washington's Crossing Historic Park is where General George Washington and his brave men crossed the icy Delaware River on Christmas night in 1776. This daring feat is celebrated each year by thousands of enthusiastic visitors who gather on the banks of the Delaware River to witness a spectacular 45-minute reenactment of the crossing and hear General Washington's inspiring speech. Imagine the thrill as several hundred reenactors in authentic Continental military attire row across the river in replica boats!
But that's not all! The event is packed with exciting demonstrations that bring colonial life to vivid reality. Watch a skilled blacksmith at work, feel the power of musket firing, and so much more. Plus, there will be plenty of vendors offering delicious food and unique goods for you to enjoy.
This is the perfect way to dive into history and learn about this pivotal event from nearly 250 years ago. Touring with A-1 is always a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
