This annual event celebrates the Continental Army marching out of Valley Forge after the winter encampment. The event constitutes a reenactment as well many demonstrations of the work carried out among the soldiers and the people that followed. There will also be plenty of shopping and dining opportunities among the many vendors or site.

Join A-1 Tours for a visit to Valley Forge National Historical Park the location for 1777-1778 winter encampment for their annual “March Out” event as we gear up for the 250th anniversary celebration next year. As the name suggests, the event commemorates the time the Continental Army marched out of Valley Forge after their six-month winter encampment. This is one of the area's biggest events and not to be missed. Each year, crowds gather to honor this historic occasion.

 

In addition to the reenactments, visitors can enjoy displays and interactive workshops that educate guests about what life was like for a soldier in the Continental Army. Women also played a crucial role during these times you will get an opportunity learn about how women and children in the encampment supported the soldiers.

As you walk along you may learn about artillery, cannons, and drilling, as well as witness demonstrations of black powder musket firing.

There will also of course be plenty of dining and shopping opportunities among the vendors of site.

Valley Forge National Historical Park covers approx. 3500 acres and is worth visit at any time of the year. Join us for this adventure and the opportunity to travel 200 plus years back in time!

Some of the pick-up locations we use require a parking fee for your vehicle. Guests are responsible for their own parking fees.  

Tours run in rain or shine. 

IF you have purchased “cancel for any reason” insurance.  You may cancel up to 24 hours prior to time of estimated departure for any reason. 

If you cancel you MUST notify A-1 Tours in writing or by phone and receive a cancellation confirmation back.
